The committee formed by the government to investigate public housing schemes has forwarded details of the negligence identified in the award of Hiya flats constructed by the previous administration, to Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The committee had investigated the award of flats constructed under the Hiya project by the previous administration, following a large number of complaints from the public regarding the initial award process. The committee re-evaluated all applications and prepared a revised list of flat recipients, who are currently signing the agreements to enter the flats.
PSM News understands that the committee has sent details of the negligence found in the initial award of flats by the previous administration, to ACC. However, no details have been shared regarding the information sent to ACC.
Hiya is the largest public housing project in Hulhumale' Phase II, with 6,720 apartments accommodating over 25,000 people. The flats were constructed by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
