Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has started handing over keys to the recipients of flats built under Hiya housing project.
HDC began handing over keys to Hiya flat recipients at 1000hrs on July 14. HDC said the process started with recipients of flats under the category H9. The corporation revealed 118 people signed the agreements and received their keys to the flats on July 14.
Meanwhile, work is still ongoing to establish water and electricity services at the Hiya buildings. HDC stated recipients will be allowed to move into the apartments after the electricity services are established and the elevators are in operation.
Hiya is the largest public housing project in Hulhumale' Phase II, with 6,720 apartments accommodating over 25,000 people.
