President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has declared July 28-29, 2021 as government holidays. The decision was made as it follows two government holidays: Eid al-Ad’ha and the Independence Day holidays.
The directive issued by the President’s Office on July 13 stated that the two days are being declared as government holidays to ease travel plans for government employees and to allow continuity of the holiday.
The government would re-open again on August 1, 2021.
