President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed four new members to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on confirmation by the Parliament of the Maldives.

The new members appointed to CSC were Ibrahim Rasheed, Mohamed Farushath, Fathimath Shareef and Mohamed Nasih. They took their oath of office at a ceremony held at the President's Office on September 3. Their oaths were administered by Supreme Court Justice Aisha Shujune Mohamed.

The new members were approved by the parliament on August 31. They were among the 15 applicants who were shortlisted by the Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions following the interview process. The parliament had received 41 applications for the 4 vacant membership positions at CSC.
