Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced Velana International Airport (VIA) has been accredited as safe for travelling by Airports Council International (ACI).
MACL stated VIA received the accreditation following an assessment of precautionary health measures imposed in the airport. MACL revealed VIA is just the 2nd airport from the Asia Pacific Region and the 12th airport in the world to get accredited under the Airport Health Accreditation Programme of ACI.
Since the reopening of borders on July 15, MACL has imposed strict precautionary measures at VIA for the safety of passengers and staff using the airport. MACL stated its commitment to safety and excellence in service quality strives to demonstrate reliability and convenience for all passengers.
