359 COVID-19 patients yet to be transferred to isolation: HEOC

Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC) has revealed over 350 people who tested positive for COVID-19 are yet to be transferred to isolation facilities.

Speaking about the delay caused in transferring positive individuals to isolation facilities, Epidemiologist at Health Protection Agency (HPA) Dr. Ibrahim Afzal said administrative challenges are a main reason for the delayed transfer of positive patients. Noting other factors also affect the transfer of COVID-19 positive patients, Dr. Afzal stated 359 individuals are yet to be transferred. He noted 85 individuals are refusing to move to isolation facilities.
