COVID-19 death toll in Maldives rises to 24

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reveals another Maldivian has passed away from COVID-19.
HPA said the last death recorded was that of a 41-year-old Maldivian female, admitted in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). This is the 24th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.

The first COVID-19 death was recorded in the Maldives on April 29. So far, 18 Maldivians and 6 expatriates have passed away from COVID-19 in Maldives.

The Maldives has detected 5,909 COVID-19 cases since March 7. Currently, there are 2,389 active cases in the country, including 138 patients who have been hospitalised.
