Maldives has recorded a total of 5,177 tourist arrivals during the one-month period since the country reopened its borders on July 15.
After the government reopened borders, a total of 1,701 tourists visited the Maldives in July, while another 3,475 have arrived in August thus far. Maldives Immigration revealed the highest number of arrivals during the first half of August was recorded from UAE, with 504 arrivals. Meanwhile, 421 arrivals were recorded from the UK and 336 arrivals were recorded from the US.
In July, 258 and 189 tourists visited the Maldives from UK and US respectively. The third highest arrivals in July was recorded from UAE with 143 visitors.
