Housing Minister submits resignation

Minister of Housing and Urban Development Aminath Athifa has submitted her resignation from office.

PSM News understands the housing minister submitted her resignation citing health issues. President’s Office is yet to disclose any information regarding her resignation.

Housing Minister Athifa was appointed to the cabinet on a slot of the Maldives Reform Movement (MRM), headed by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. It is reported that she has been seeking treatment for an illness for some time now.
