Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has extended the period to apply for a moratorium on 30% of the rent and other monthly payments for flats, commercial units and industrial plots.
HDC stated individuals who wish to apply for a moratorium on 30% of the monthly payment for May can apply for the moratorium until May 15. HDC said the applicants need to fill the moratorium form and submit it via email. The form can be downloaded from the website of the corporation.
HDC has also arranged means for payments to be made to the corporation online. As such, the corporation has established online transfer systems through Bank of Maldives (BML) and Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB).
HDC said the payment receipt can be forwarded to the Viber hotline of the corporation, along with the name of the payer and details such as the apartment or lot number.
