Jumhooree Party (JP) has stated the vast support for the party will be visible in the party’s campaign launching event for the upcoming local council elections.
Speaking at a press conference, JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim’s advisor Riyaz Rasheed said the party’s campaign launching event, scheduled for March 13, will issue an appropriate response to the critics of the party. He said the supporters of JP will fill the Alimas Carnival for the event, showcasing the vast support for the party.
JP is contesting in the local council elections with 127 candidates, including 8 candidates contesting for different seats in Male’ City Council. In addition, JP is contesting for 56 seats in the women’s development committee elections.
The JP leadership states the party does not believe the number of candidates representing the party in the upcoming elections is low.
