First Lady of Maldives Fazna Ahmed has said the well-being of society depends on how much the wealth and prosperity of one another is shared. She made the remarks at the ceremony held to inaugurate a programme initiated by Maldives National University (MNU) to promote giving back to the society.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, First Lady Fazna said everybody requires the assistance of others, adding one must look after the other to maintain a healthy society. Noting engaging in doing good activities benefits one's self, the first lady said everyone must be aware that people will criticise such people as well. She said a reality everyone must believe is that helping oneself is not enough, adding the goodwill and welfare of one must be shared with others.
Furthermore, the first lady expressed education is one sector that serves to bring emotive changes to a person. She expressed gratitude for MNU on the initiation.
