President opens new mosque in Kendhikulhudhoo

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has officially opened a new mosque developed in Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu Atoll.

The privately built new mosque, named Masjid Al-Rahma, was opened today for Asr prayers. In addition to officially opening the mosque, President Solih had also laid the foundation of the mosque to commence the project. The mosque was built within a period of 9 months.

Masjid-Al Rahma is the fifth mosque to be opened in Kendhikulhudhoo. The mosque has a capacity of 550 people and has a designated area for women.

President Solih was greeted with a warm welcome by the residents of Kendhikulhudhoo upon his arrival in the island for the official opening of the mosque.
