Police must prioritise needs and wishes of citizens: Home Minister

Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has called on police officers to prioritise the needs and wishes of the citizens over personal interests.

Addressing police officers at a function, Home Minister Imran expressed the police institution must move forward by prioritising the interests of the citizens. The home minister added all efforts of police officers must be to gain trust of the citizens.

The minister noted all state institutions are run by the tax money from all citizens. He added all state institutions must, therefore, work towards achieving the needs and wishes of the citizens. He also urged to work closely with citizens to achieve the goals.

The home minister reminded the police officers the citizens seek peace, safety and security.
