Parliament of Maldives has forwarded the nominations sent by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to be appointed to Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) for review.
The nominations forwarded to Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions include former President of ECM Fuad Thaufeeg, current member of ECM Amjad Musthafa, Hassan Nazim and Mariyam Haneefa Khalid.
The president submitted nominations for the position currently held by Amjad Musthafa whose term concludes on November 24. Out of the nominations, Fuad Thaufeeg was removed as the President of ECM by the Supreme Court of Maldives.
