Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has revealed it has received a case against 3 judges at Supreme Court of Maldives. Although JSC expressed an investigation would be launched, no further details were revealed.
However, it is believed a disciplinary case was filed against Chief Judge Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi, Judge Abdulla Areef and Judge Adam Mohamed Abdulla for back tracking and revoking a court order issued on February 1, 2018, by the full bench of Supreme Court. The two other judges who issued the order, Judge Abdulla Saeed and Judge Ali Hameed, were arrested and jailed before the order was revoked.
JSC is also investigating a case against Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Didi.
