Presidential Action Committee has reinstated staff who were unjustly dismissed from their positions for political reasons.

After looking into complaints filed by staff who were unjustly dismissed from their positions for political reasons, the committee has decided that 104 of those employees were dismissed illegally and should be reinstated, according to the President's Office. 169 complaints have been redirected, seeking additional information.

Spokesperson of the President's Office Ibrahim Hood told PSM News the president received 812 complaints, which refer to 49 institutions. He said the majority of complaints were about Maldives Ports Limited and Fenaka Corporation Limited. These include 94 complaints about Fenaka Corporation, 38 complaints about Maldives Ports and 85 complaints about the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and Maldives Police Service.

Some of these cases have forwarded to the Employment Tribunal as well.
