Ministry of Health has made an announcement seeking a party to design the building concept of health centres in four islands that are to be developed as hospitals.
In this regard, the health ministry issued a notice seeking interested parties to design the hospital building concept of the currently existing health centres in Ihavandhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll, Meedhoo in Raa Atoll, Maamigili in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll and Thimarafushi in Thaa Atoll. The ministry has opened until April 6 to submit tenders.
As part of the efforts to enhance health services across Maldives, the administration has decided to develop the health centres in the aforementioned islands as hospitals. Furthermore, health ministry said efforts are also underway to identify the machinery and new services to be introduced in the newly established hospitals.
