The US government discussed judiciary reform and ways to further strengthen cooperation with Maldives.
During the meeting held between Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia at the U.S Department of State Alice G. Wells discussions were held about the cooperation initiatives planned by the US government this year, to enhance collaboration between Maldives and the US in areas such as aviation security, public financial management, and counter-terrorism and violent extremism.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel and Ambassador of the Maldives to the US Ali Naseer Mohamed.
