Mausoom appointed as Ambassador to Singapore

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed former Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom as the Ambassador of Maldives to Singapore.

The newly appointed ambassador to Singapore attained Doctor of Philosophy from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His previous work experience includes the post of Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Minister of Environment, Energy and Water. Mausoom also served as a member of parliament. He was previously at the post of Chief Executive Officer at the Streamliners Private Limited.

Following the appointment, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid congratulated Mausoom and expressed hope for closer bilateral cooperation between Maldives and Singapore.
