Maldives assures cooperation with India in the fight against terrorism

Maldives has assured to continue working with India and the international community to combat terrorism in both South Asia and the world at large. The Government of Maldives made the assurance at a message of sympathy sent to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, following the terrorist attack in Pulwama.

In the message, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih expressed the news of the deadly terrorist attack in Pulwama, a district in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, on a CRPF convoy that claimed at least 40 lives, was received with great sadness.

The president strongly condemned the cowardly act on behalf of the government and people of the Maldives. He further sent prayers to the families and the loved ones of the deceased and injured.
