Administration achieved important milestones in the past two months

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed the administration achieved important milestones in the past two months.

During the gathering held by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) to launch the election campaign, the president informed the public on some important tasks carried out by the administration within the past two months. In this regard, President Solih revealed the administration has decreased the loan percentage of student loans from 5% to 3%, the domestic airfare has been decreased by 25-30% and the duty of diesel has been eliminated.

Furthermore, the president revealed one of most important projects carried out by the administration is efforts to amend the Decentralisation Act. Noting it is a vision of MDP, the president said the aim is to ensure financial stability to councils along with granting powers. He highlighted the importance of a Parliament with the majority held by the ruling coalition government.
