Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has begun inspecting chemical storing godowns in the Greater Male' Region.
MNDF stated the aim of the project is to ensure protection and safeguard the people from any unfavourable incidents that may be caused. In this regard, MNDF will inspect 126 godowns that have been granted permission to store chemicals.
As part of the initiative, MNDF will inspect the construction, electricity wiring and ventilation of the godowns. Moreover, MNDF noted the security procedures and prevention measures will also be inspected.
MNDF will inspect go downs in Male' Hulhumale' Villimale' and Thilafushi, with the aim to conclude the inspections on January 31.
