President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has expressed appreciation for the pivotal role India continues to play in the development of Maldives. The president made the statement in his messages to President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of the Republic Day of India.
In separate messages to President Kovind and Prime Minister Modi, President Solih conveyed good wishes to the government and the people of India. Reflecting on the long history of warm friendship and close cooperation between Maldives and India, the president expressed hope and confidence the economic, political and cultural ties between Maldives and India will be strengthened in the years ahead for the mutual betterment of the two countries.
President Solih concluded the messages with sentiments for new heights of progress and prosperity for the people of India.
