President appoints member to the Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Ahmed Nashid to the Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances.

Ahmed Nashid has several years of prior work experience at the armed forces and the police services including filling the position as the lead investigator of various homicide cases.

Ahmed Nashid has also completed various training programmes in the field of crime investigations, including Advanced Scientific Methods of Crime Investigation Course from Central Detective School in Hyderabad, Interpol National Central Bureau Officers Training in Lyons and Training on the Koban System of Japan and Neighbourhood Police Post System in Singapore and Japan.

A new member was appointed to the commission, following the resignation of Abdulla Munaz from the commission on December 25.
