Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has said the social issues in the country can be solved with the assistance from non-governmental organisations.
Speaking at a press conference held at President’s Office to announce the social forum, Haveli, Home Minister Imran Abdulla said empowering non-governmental organisations is an important policy of the administration, noting the importance of the collective efforts of the non-governmental organisations is vital to solve the issues in the society.
With the changes to the structure of the administration, managing non-governmental organisations have been transferred to Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.
Speaking to the media, Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof expressed hope the efforts of the administration, with the collective efforts of the non-governmental organisations, will bring a successful outcome in transforming the society.
Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment and the non-governmental organisations will hold Haveli from March 16-18.
