President dismisses Saleem from JSC

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has dismissed Mohamed Saleem from the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Mohamed Saleem was appointed as the representative of the president to JSC by former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. He has been known to represent the former president a number of times, as of late the case submitted to the Supreme Court to nullify the results of the presidential election, on behalf Yameen.

Although Saleem has been dismissed from JSC, a representative of the president has so far not been appointed.
