Government to publicise financial status weekly

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said the financial status of the country will be publicised every week starting from next week.

Addressing the ceremony held to inaugurate the water and sewerage facilities in Dhiffushi in Kaafu Atoll, President Solih stated the weekly financial status will be published via Ministry of Finance. President Solih reiterated the administration's commitment to working close to the people and being transparent in its ventures. President Solih revealed the most important work undertaken within the past two weeks was knowing the current situation of Maldives. In this regard, he announced the happenings of the past five years are unveiling bit by bit.

Furthermore, President Solih stated meetings are being held with senior posts of government offices and institutions to inquire about the situation. The president underscored efforts to achieve and fulfil the pledges made during the presidential campaign to the citizens have begun. In this regard, he highlighted the establishment of the Commission on Investigation of Murder and Enforced Disappearances and commencement of efforts to recover state funds lost in corruption activities over the past five years.
