Government to free lands held by the Nasheed administration

Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed has revealed plans to free all land in Addu city, which were held by the administration of former President Mohamed Nasheed.

Addressing a special rally organized by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim at Addu City, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said, the housing ministry would release free and fair guidelines to lease these lands to the  rightful owners. Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed said that the huge turnout at the rally reflects the immense support President Yameen inspires in the city and stated that this also represented the success of the administration. Minister Saeed said that the support of the public has boosted efforts by the administration to deescalate the current political situation in the country.

Shedding light on the wrongs done to citizens by previous governments, the minister cited that the administration of President Yameen is working towards righting these wrongs. Minister Saeed revealed plans of freeing all lands that were held by former President Mohamed Nasheed in Addu city.

Addressing the rally, Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim called on businessman Gasim Ibrahim to repay all the debts he owes to the state. Minister Thoriq said that the attempts of the opposition to topple the constitutionally elected government would never be successful as the majority of people in the nation are in favor of the government.

Under the initiate of First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, the youth of Addu city organized the special rally to show their support to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and his administration. The rally was attended by First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim, Ministers of the cabinet and other governmental officials.
