South Korean Ambassador pays a farewell call on Foreign Minister

The Non-Resident Ambassador of South Korea to the Maldives Chang Won-sam has paid a farewell call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim.

During the meeting, Minister Asim commended Ambassador's contribution in strengthening the relations between the Maldives and South Korea. The Maldivian Foreign Minister also noted that the relations between both countries have significantly improved over the past couple of years and expressed appreciation to the government of South Korea for the continued support and assistance towards the development of Maldives.

Ambassador Chang thanked the government and the people of Maldives and noted that his tenure was an extremely gratifying experience that he fondly cherished, especially at the time when both countries joyfully celebrates its long standing relations.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
