The Head of the South Asia Department at the U.K Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Laura Clarke called on the Foreign Minister, Dr. Mohamed Asim.
At the meeting held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Minister reflected on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties especially in the area of trade and investment and counterterrorism cooperation.
The Foreign Minister was accompanied by Secretary-Bilateral, Ahmed Khaleel and other senior officials of Foreign Ministry. Clarke was accompanied by Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Maldives James Dauris, and Political Officer at the British High Commission in Colombo, Ahmed Zaki.
