PSM Signs MOU to Provide Courses Offered by Limkokwing University

Public Service Media (PSM) has signed an agreement to provide courses offered by Malaysia's Limkokwing University at Maldives Media Institute (MMI).

The agreement was signed between PSM and Limkokwing University at a ceremony held today at the Seneco Conference Hall of PSM Radio Building. The agreement was signed by PSM's Chairman Ibrahim Umar Manik and Limkokwing Vice President of Brand Creativity and Talent Development Dato' Tiffanee Marie Lim. As per the agreement journalism related courses, film production, graphics designing, animation and arts courses offered by Limkokwing will be provided through MMI, which is managed by PSM.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of PSM Ibrahim Umar Manik said under the agreement MMI will provide diploma to degree level courses offered by Limkokwing University. The Managing Director of PSM Ibrahim Khaleel added that such an agreement will pave the way for media personals to obtain higher education from Maldives.

“This opens a door to provide further trainings and expertise to those working in the field of Media. I take this opportunity to thank the current administration, especially President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom for enabling the opportunity to further strengthen the media,” said the Managing Director of PSM.

Dato' Tiffanee Marie Lim said that it was an honor for the University to be able to assist in the development of media in a developing country like Maldives. After the signing ceremony, the delegation from Limkokwing University took a tour of the PSM premises. 

Limkokwing University manages 13 campuses in Asia, Europe and African countries with over 30,000 students from 165 countries enrolled worldwide.
