This administration will not marginalise anyone: President Yameen

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom hasreiterated that this administration will not marginalise any citizen, and thatevery step taken towards the betterment of the youth is an investment for thefuture. 

The President made these remarks whilespeaking at a function organised by the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives.

“The Maldives wants to become the mostappealing and the most peaceful country that prioritises advancement andcivilization,” the President said, adding that that “the administration’s aimis to demonstrate that civilisation and development was not only defined byconcrete buildings.”

“The administration aims to establish a kindsociety and a people who would sustain the urban wealth of the nation,” hesaid. “The administration gives great importance to encourage the youth topartake in the development of the community.”

Noting the high priority accorded to goodupbringing of children, the President stated that the purpose of providingall-inclusive education, without excluding any child, was to build the nextgeneration as a peace loving and patriotic one.

In his speech, the President said that theresult of such measures taken by the administration would be to build acommunity that lives a harmonious life. He further said that the administrationwas working relentlessly to bring happiness and prosperity to the people,increase their wealth, and promote women’s rights.
