Maldives, Egypt seek to expand bilateral cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Iruthisham Adam and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty have discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 52nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During the meeting, Minister Iruthisham reaffirmed the importance of the relationship between the Maldives and Egypt and expressed her commitment to continued cooperation on international initiatives of mutual interest.

She also expressed hope for further strengthening ties and exploring additional areas of cooperation.
