The Maldives has strongly condemned attacks by the Houthi group targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia on 6 and 7 October, which resulted in deaths, injuries and damage to airport facilities.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Maldivian government described the attacks as a “blatant violation” of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and warned that they pose a serious threat to regional peace, security and stability.
