Education Minister Dr Aishath Shiyam has visited schools in six islands of Baa Atoll to assess the difficulties faced by them.
The Minister, who is currently on a tour of the atoll, visited schools in Dharavandhoo, Maalhos, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Hithaadhoo and Fulhadhoo.
During her visits to the schools, the minister met with school managements, teachers, school boards, and PTA members, and inquired about difficulties faced by them. She also shared information about the Government’s education policy and efforts to strengthen the education system.
During the visit, she is expected to handover a vessel to ferry students from Fehendhoo to Goidhoo.
The minister, accompanied by senior officials of the Education Ministry, is scheduled to visit three more islands during her trip to Baa Atoll.
