The Internal Audit Association announced that its annual Internal Audit 360 Degree Summit will take place on 6 September under the theme “Future-Ready Internal Audit,” serving as a vital collaborative forum to build robust internal audit frameworks.
The conference is designed not exclusively for internal auditors, but across corporate management, finance, audit committees, and governing boards. Speaking on the PSM News programme ‘Raajje Miadhu’, Mohamed Shifaz Moosa, a co-founder and executive committee member, noted that the designation reflects this all-encompassing scope. Approximately 100 participants are expected for this second edition.
“As we prepare to host the summit this year, we are endeavouring to organise this year’s event on a much broader scale than that of last year,” Shifaz said. “For last year's summit, we targeted a capacity of 60 participants. Those places were filled very quickly. Furthermore, to offer opportunities to as many people as possible, we also accommodated additional attendees in accordance with the venue's capacity.”
Hassan Akram Mohamed, the founding chairperson and vice chairperson, noted that developing future-ready systems requires not merely technology and artificial intelligence, but critical competencies in leadership, communication, and relationship management. A diverse group of government ministries, state bodies, private companies, and non-governmental organisations has registered during the past two months. While nearing capacity, registration remains open on the association’s website, alongside permanent institutional membership for those unable to attend.
