The Maldives Business Chamber has held a training programme on using artificial intelligence (AI) for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The session was the first session in a business development training series commenced by the Chamber.
President of the Maldives Business Chamber Ahmed Amjad said 30 to 40 participants from companies in Male’ and the atolls attended the training. The programme was led by an experienced IT and AI instructor.
According to Amjad, the training aimed to help businesses to improve efficiency using AI by completing tasks faster with fewer employees, simplifying document preparation, and improving access to international markets.
Participants described the programme as important and beneficial, saying they learned practical AI techniques to streamline business management and other tasks.
The Maldives Business Chamber, established last December to promote the business sector, now has around 100 member companies. The Chamber plans to continue offering AI training programmes regularly, expanding them to businesses in both Male’ and the atolls. Businesses can join the Chamber through its website.
