Aminath Shiruna, who has been serving as Minister of State for Health, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).
During her tenure at the Ministry of Health, Shiruna has overseen the operations of key institutions, including the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Dhamanaveshi, and Maldives Blood Services.
Shiruna brings more than 23 years of experience in the nursing profession to the role and holds a Master’s degree in her field.
The Ministry of Health has extended its congratulations to Shiruna following her appointment as head of the agency.
The appointment follows a leadership change at the NSPA, after the previous Chief Executive Officer, Heena Waleed, stepped down from the position.
