The Prosecutor General’s Office will implement cost-cutting measures from 7 April to 31 May 2026, under which employees will work from home every Tuesday.
The measures are part of government efforts to reduce costs amid the impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict. Key changes include holding formal meetings online, reducing office hours and electricity use, cutting down paper usage, and limiting the use of office vehicles.
Although staff will work from home on Tuesday during this period, they will continue to attend the office when necessary, especially for court hearings and essential in-person work.
On days when employees work from the office, staff are encouraged to leave after 14:00, and the office closing time will be moved earlier to 18:00.
The policy also supports efforts to digitise operations and eliminate paper use.
The office stated that services to the public will not be affected or delayed due to these changes.
