HDC assumes management of 704 flats in Hulhumalé

The Housing Development Corporation has assumed administrative and operational stewardship of more than 700 residential flats in the first phase of Hulhumalé.

The transition of duties was formalised through an agreement signed on 24 March between the corporation and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure. The accord officially entrusts the company with the comprehensive repair, maintenance, and oversight of exactly 704 housing units situated in Phase I, the Housing Development Corporation said in a statement.

Residents have been instructed to direct all facility concerns to the corporation’s offices to ensure the efficient resolution of structural and operational challenges. “We are issuing a public notification advising all concerned parties to collaborate with our corporation, effective immediately, to resolve any maintenance issues that may arise within the 704 flats,” the corporation noted in an official statement.

The integration of these properties expands a real estate management portfolio that already includes major residential zones in Hulhumalé's second phase. Prior to the inclusion of the Phase I units, the corporation maintained oversight of the large-scale Hiyaa and Vinares housing complexes.
