K. Huraa to lease land for café & restaurant business

Huraa Island Council on Saturday decided to lease land to develop and operate cafés and restaurants.

The council said land plots have been earmarked to operate cafés and restaurants in the western beach of the island, south of the harbour. The land also includes the Sunset Restaurant area, and totals over 4,700 square feet.

Under the new lease agreement, a 1,150.1 square feet area east of “Sunset Restaurant” would be added to the existing 3,590 square feet area in which “Sunset Restaurant” is operated.

Huraa Council said that the land will be leased for a maximum 15-year period, and that land lots have already been called for tender.
