WAMCO to reduce waste disposal fees for SMEs from February

The Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has announced that it will reduce waste disposal fees for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) starting from February.

The fee reduction follows a decision by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to adjust the existing waste disposal fee bands for SMEs. The move comes in response to concerns raised by SMEs about the high cost of waste disposal during a recent meeting with the President, after which the President instructed WAMCO to implement a desirable change.

WAMCO is currently in discussions on new fee bands to implement the reduction. The updated bands will be announced in the coming days.
