President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has expressed hope that the Maldives will win the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup 2025.
He said this in a social media post congratulating the Maldives national women's volleyball team on reaching the tournament’s final.
In his post, the President said it was a source of great pride that the Maldivian team had performed strongly throughout the tournament and reached the final. He added that he hoped the team would emerge victorious in the final and take the title, and said all Maldivians stand with the team.
The Maldives will face Kyrgyzstan in the final of the tournament. This is the second consecutive time that the two teams face off against each other in the tournament final.
