A crucial three-day training programme focused on design and data sharing has been launched, aiming to significantly enhance the connectivity and efficiency of government services within the digital domain.
The workshop, a collaborative effort between the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), commenced on Sunday with a strong emphasis on fostering interoperability and standardisation.
The Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, Dr Mohamed Kinanath, highlighted the profound importance of this initiative in an interview with PSM News. He emphasised that such training programmes are instrumental in bolstering the capabilities and reach of government services.
The programme is designed to equip employees from various government agencies and institutions, alongside private sector professionals, with the knowledge to seamlessly integrate digital services.
Participants will gain insights into the international standards promoted by the ITU for digitising government operations and will learn how to effectively leverage the ‘GovStack’ framework for service delivery. The workshop also provides a critical platform for government agencies to showcase their advancements in digital transformation, ultimately strengthening the Maldives' ongoing commitment to digitisation.
