The Maumoon Foundation has announced new scholarship opportunities for Master’s students at the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM).
The scholarships are being offered in three fields as part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to expand educational opportunities for Maldivian youth. The eligible fields are:
- Master of Fiqh
- Master of Arts in Quranic Sciences
- Master of Islamic Revealed Knowledge, Leadership and Administration
Students will be selected for the scholarship by IUM, while the Maumoon Foundation will fund the scholarships.
Established by former President Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom, the Maumoon Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting education, Islamic knowledge, and community development in the Maldives.
The Foundation has previously provided scholarships for higher education, organised special Ramadan programmes, published and distributed books on various religious topics, and donated books to universities and libraries. It also continues to participate in and support educational activities conducted by colleges and universities.
