President’s Office Reopens Applications for Tax Appeal Tribunal Vacancies

The President’s Office has nullified the previous call for applications issued on 22 October 2025 and announced the reopening of applications to fill vacancies on the Tax Appeal Tribunal.

With the terms of five members of the Tribunal set to expire, applications are now open to fill these vacant seats. Submissions will be accepted from today until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, 6 November 2025.

Application forms will be received at the President’s Office during the application period, on working days from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The form is also available for download from the President’s Office website.

The Tax Appeal Tribunal is tasked with adjudicating matters related to the Tax Administration Act or any other taxation legislation. It has the authority to review and deliberate as it deems appropriate on matters determined by the Tax Administration Act or any other law to be adjudicated by the Tribunal, along with the power to summon persons, elicit witness statements, obtain proof and evidence or do anything necessary to verify and elicit the truth of submission

The Tribunal is composed of five members who are appointed by the President with the approval of the Parliament.
