The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has opened the opportunity for Maldivian businesses to participate in the Asia Berlin Summit in Berlin, Germany.
The Ministry said the German government had informed through the Maldives Embassy in Berlin that the opportunity to participate in the summit being held from 24 to 28 November this year was open to Maldivian businesses.
The summit, titled ‘Connecting Startup Ecosystems for Diversity and Innovation’, is a landmark gathering of international manufacturers and entrepreneurs, policy makers and investors, focusing on five key areas including health, tech, fin-tech, green-tech, mobility, and the creative economy.
The Asia Berlin Summit is an invaluable platform to showcase the innovation landscape and startup ecosystem of Maldivian businesses. The summit will feature various activities to strengthen ties with businessmen from different countries and facilitate business opportunities. The summit also offers opportunities to participate in exclusive round tables, co-host sessions or cultural showcases, and showcase national heritage by sponsoring traditional food at events.
Businesses participating in the summit have to bear their own travel expenses, while the Maldives Embassy in Berlin will provide other assistance to the participants, the Ministry said.
