JSC Hands Over Supreme Court Administration to Justice Abdulla Hameed

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to hand over the administration of the Supreme Court to Justice Abdulla Hameed, following the retirement of Chief Justice Ahmed Mu’thasim Adnan.

The commission has formally decided to honourably retire Chief Justice Ahmed Mu’thasim Adnan from the judiciary with effect from 21 July, and hand over the court’s administration to Justice Abdulla Hameed. The decision was made at its 26th sitting held 17 July. Justice Abdulla Hameed will oversee the administration of the court until a new Chief Justice is appointed.

Chief Justice Ahmed Mu’thasim Adnan has served the judiciary as the Chief Justice of Maldives and as a Supreme Court Justice for 9 years, 7 months and 12 days.
