Maldivian Blood Services Introduces Hotline for Thalassemia Patients

Maldivian Blood Services (MBS) has introduced a hotline especially for thalassemia patients.

MBS, which caters to thalassemia patients said it has introduced a hotline to ease access to services. The hotline number is 7333645.

Information can be obtained through this hotline during service hours, in addition to Viber and WhatsApp messaging platforms, MBS said.

Families of thalassemia patients often encounter numerous challenges in accessing necessary treatments, such as bone marrow transplants. In response, the government has implemented various measures to alleviate these issues and ensure that services are accessible within the country.
